Professional Excellence in Medical Education

The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM) has been providing quality continuing education for healthcare professionals since 1979. PIM is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians and by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Additionally, PIM is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Colorado Nurses Association and the California Board of Registered Nurses. PIM is focused exclusively on partnering with non-accredited organizations to jointly sponsor continuing education activities and is comprised of skilled professionals with Diverse therapeutic and educational backgrounds that have a clear understanding of the complex regulatory issues and operational guidelines of commercially supported continuing education.

PIM is fully dedicated to keeping pace with the changing health care environment and is committed to helping improve the knowledge of our learners to positively impact patient care by clearly focusing on educational needs.

The purpose of the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM) is to plan, develop and deliver effective continuing medical education (CME) activities based on identified needs in the contemporary practice of medicine for physicians and other healthcare professionals, and through these educational activities, enhance the knowledge and attitudes of our learners to positively impact patient care and well being. We fulfill this mission by forming successful alliances and working in collaboration to deliver educational experiences that are designed to support the professional development of physicians and positively impact the delivery of medical care.

 
Validation of Clinical Content

PIM subjects activity planning to rigorous quality standards through clinical content review aimed at assuring the content or format of the activity and related materials is balanced, scientifically objective, evidence-based and promotes improvements or quality in healthcare.
